TMG Alpha-17 (a-17) vs Dragon Eye Compact (2-Head)
Overall, the new TMG Alpha-17 did exceptionally well even with just two standard heads not only with the standard fixed pulse rate guns, but the two most advanced VPR (anti-jamming program) police lasers.
Performance is expected to increase further with the incorporation of the dedicated VPR head (mounted in the center of the vehicle). That test will be forthcoming when completed.
In the meantime, we conducted an extensive test of a new 2-head Facets TMG A17 laser jammer versus the Dragon Eye Compact variable pulse radar gun with anti-jamming software.
The results are summarized below:
Dragon Eye Compact baseline:
Dragon Eye Compact (DEC) variable pulse rate, anti-jamming feature: 1620 feet at 21 mph
TMG Alpha-17 Dual vs Dragon Eye Compact VPR (three runs each)
Sweeping front : 440 feet at 28 mph
Driver headlight: 412 feet at 29 mph, 493 feet at 28 mph
Passenger headlight: 225.8 feet at 26 mph, 283 feet at 27 mph, 243.6 feet at 27 mph
Center: 415.1 feet at 28 mph, 515.8 feet at 21 mph, 206.3 feet at 22 mph
