We revisit Joyce to see if her right ear canal has finally cleared of the dried blood and ear wax from her first visit. There was a traumatic cleaning at that time resulting in an abrasion with bleeding. The bleeding quickly stopped, resulting in a scab of dried blood which remians. It will eventually slough off. It is better to let it occur later, on it's own. We risk further injury and bleeding by forcing it off in the office.
