The internal proportional valves maintain regulated pressure with varying flow rates, meaning changes in supply pressure do not affect the downstream output pressure. Traditional precision pressure regulator designs require a constant bleed flow, or gas consumption to atmosphere, to maintain its accurate pressure regulation.
