Mayor Tom Bradley from City Hall in downtown Los Angeles addresses the media on live television about his disappointment in Rodney King verdicts and the riots that followed. He urges citizens that are angry about the riots to hold back on the destruction of property in Los Angeles.
Chief Daryl gates looks very depressed as he stands next to Mayor Tom Bradley. The mayor states that we cannot tolerate violence as an expression to the verdicts and warns that he will begin to enforce the law from all levels of government available.
He calls many of the looters opportunist and has applied a curfew from dusk to dawn every night from Crenshaw (w) to Alameda (e) to Century (s) to Vernon (n).
