Basic Navigation for Beginners: Sailboat Passage Planning l Ep.50
#Sailing #SailingIndiana #SailboatNavigation #PassagePlanning
In this episode we show how two novice sailors, still very much learning how to sail, plan for a trip along the South Coast of the UK. Our plan is to head from our home berth in Brighton to the beautiful Falmouth on the Cornish Coast. This will be a 220 Nautical Mile passage – the longest the Indiana Crew has done.
We are super excited and wanted to talk you through how we passage plan, using good old fashioned Admiral and Imray Charts, Pilotage Books and also using modern technology like our trusted Savvy Navvy App. We show you how to check the winds, tides, and ensure you know how to approach new locations to anchor or moor up.
We hope you enjoy this one and look out for our exciting trip over the next few weeks.
