Rally veteran Jan Habig, with co-driver Robert Paisley, starts the Total Rally in Durban. This is an historic moment, as Habig has been associated with VW for decades, but left his works drive at the end of 2011 to join the Basil Read Ford rally team, which sees him campaigning a left hand drive Fiesta, rather than the more familiar (for Habig) Polo.
