In this fresh and fun home-schooling lesson you will learn how colons can be used to introduce things. Learn the song first to equip yourself with a memorable melody (and rhyme) so you can then apply the the rules and punctuation mark successfully to your writing.

We will look at how a colon is used to introduce a list, a reason, an explanation, and speech. You will also see how a colon is used in digital time and for ratios.

Then, you will be assessed to see if you can spot where the missing colons for all of the above are in the 'Mic Check' and then take on the 'Showtime' task.

You will learn and have fun, rap along to the 'Colon' song and by the end of the lesson you will always remember what a colon is and how it is used to introduce and connect things.
