AIADMK spokesperson C. Ponnaiyan clarified that the by-laws of the party would be relaxed for electing VK Sasikala as the next general secretary of the party. He also said Sasikala had been living as the conscience of J. Jayalalithaa for a long time and she would be elected as general secretary of the party cadre unanimously.
