Article 243-ZA of the Constitution provides that the State Election Commission constituted under Article 243K of the Constitution shall have the superintendence, direction and control of the preparation of electoral rolls and the conduct of all those elections to the Municipalities. will be contained in According to Article 243-K, there shall be a State Election Commissioner appointed by the Governor in the State Election Commission, the State Election Commissioner may be removed from his office in the same manner and on such grounds as may be prescribed in the case of a Judge of the High Court. Provided also that when the State Election Commission so requests, necessary staff shall be made available to it by the Governor for the discharge of its duties.
