Chichen Itza
Thousand years ago Chichén Itzá was one of the largest Maya cities. And the main highlight of Chichén Itzá is the El Castillo pyramid (aka Temple of Kukulkan) where its structure represents the Mayan calendar: 18 bodies (the number of months, 20 days each) and 365 steps (days of the year). And also you will see people clapping in front of the pyramid to hear the echo that sounds like a quetzal bird chirping. Other highlights include the Great Ball Court, Observatory, and Sacred Cenote (where human sacrifices were placed).

Cenote Xcajum
Cenotes were commonly used for water supplies, and place for sacrificing offerings during Mayan civilization.
Not far from Chichen Itza, just a 20-minute drive you will reach Cenote Xcajum which, you can swim in an open Cenote, not only that, you can taste the typical dishes through the buffet and also Xcajum has a handicraft store, swimming pool.

Valladolid
It is the third-largest city in Yucatan known for its history and its vibrant barrios. And wander around the downtown is perfect to stretch out before continuing the journey. This downtown is surrounded by restaurants, and shops, also there is a Cathedral of San Servicio, and a park.
Playa del Carmen
Playa del Carmen is known for its beaches and is perfectly located near Cancun's International airport. Spending the day in here seems endless. it has dozens of restaurants and hotels that offer water-sport activities.

It's a broth-like hot soup made from chicken and lima, filled with shredded chicken and pieces of fried tortilla
Paunchos
Refried tortilla filled with black beans, and topped with shredded Pavo or pork, chicken, pickled red onion
Sabultos
Similar to Paunches but Sabultos aren't prepared with black beans
Papadzules
Tortilla filled with boiled eggs and dipped in a sauce of pumpkin seeds (Pepita), Epazote, and tomato sauce
