5. Check and analyze the condition of foot nails and skin. Proceed with the treatment if there are no signs of infection/ skin allergy.
6. Prepare the paraffin wax by heating the wax on the heater or melting it above boiling water. (OPTIONAL, MAKE SURE THAT THE PARAFFIN WAX IS IN LIQUID FORM BEFORE USING).
B. THE SCRUBBING
Wash client’s feet with warm water and soap.
Put enough lukewarm water in a foot basin or foot machine (if available). Make sure to determine and test the appropriate temperature for heat tolerance of client.
Add foot soak to the water and submerge feet in foot machine or foot basin for 15-20 minutes. (Alternative for foot soak: Bubble up the water using mild soap like dove and add cuticle remover in the warm water.)
After soaking, remove feet from the foot basin/foot machine. Apply foot scrub and gently rub on feet. Rinse feet with the water from foot basin/foot machine to remove foot scrub.
Gently scrub feet using callus scraper or foot file until they become smooth. Focus on the heals and other areas where dry skin and calluses are most prominent but do not overdo to avoid skin abrasions or too much skin friction. Use foot brush to remove debris of dry skin and calluses.
Rinse feet with clean, warm water. You may use a sponge to completely remove the residue of dry skin and calluses.
Towel dry and apply moisturizer or lotion in the preparation for paraffin wax treatment
You may apply foot blush on both feet for pinkish result
C. USING PARAFFIN WAX. (OPTIONAL___Kung walang paraffin wax ay huwag na gawin ito. Pero mas mataas ang grade ng mga makakagawa with paraffin wax)
1. After scrubbing the feet and applying lotion, gently dip the first foot of the clients down the paraffin wax and leave it in for a few seconds until a layer forms over the area. (MAKE SURE PARAFFIN WAX IS IN LIQUID FORM and completely melted BEFORE USING it). Repeat the dipping process until you have at least 5 layers of wax on the foot.
2. Wrap the foot with cling wrap or clear plastic bag. Then cover it with clean foot mittens or foot towel around to retain the heat.
3. Repeat the procedure on the other foot and let the paraffin wax stay for about 15 to 20 minutes.
4. After 15-20 minutes, remove the paraffin wax together with the plastic. Make sure that all the paraffin wax has been completely removed from the feet.
D. FOOT MASSAGE
1. Apply lotion or foot oil. Then proceed with the foot massage.
E. AFTER THE TREATMENT

2. Sanitize and store tools and equipment.
