Spain payments scandal : PM Rajoy needs to address the Nation
. The PM of Spain, Mariano Rajoy, has to answer to the critics of the opposition, and allegations of scandal. For the leaders of the opposition, it is time for the Prime Minister to address the Nation, especially concerning the "Barcenas scandal". The former treasurer of the PP, Luis Barcenas, is the cornerstone of a long lasting illegal finance system. This scandal has widely diminished the popularity of the Spanish governement, accused, alongside the ruling party, to have received illegitimate payments : protests have been organized nationwide, and the opposition seemed ready to call a motion of censure if Rajoy did not address these allegations.
