GreatScott! recently recommended a cheap Aliexpress spot welder in his AliExpress Hidden Gems video. The price almost seemed to good to be true, so i ordered it. I have previously done a showdown of over a dozen spot welders, so i was curious to see how this one performed.
Unfortunately, it was a let down. For thin nickle it might be fine, but for 0.15 and above, i cannot recommend. It barely penetrates.
I prefer to recommend the BIFRC spot welder with a good lipo for around $45 together.
