We are building a house, and in this video we are installing (most of) the windows. Our windows were delayed by over 2 months from when they were originally scheduled to arrive, which caused a lot of frustration and added costs. It also caused delays in other work like stucco, stone, and interior rough-ins like HVAC, which couldn’t start until windows were installed.

When they did start getting delivered, it was piece meal – some were still delayed, others delivered broken, and some lost in transit. To make things worse, we were also disappointed with how our main window design turned out - welcome to the realities of home building!

We are continuing the on-site construction process of building our custom home and previously on our new home build we completed the excavation, pouring the concrete foundation walls & basement slab, waterproofing, back filling, framing the house, installing the roof and connecting the basement drains – make sure to catch those episodes if you want to get up to speed.
