The 2018 BET Awards was ablaze in more ways the one, with several stars rocking hot fits while basking in the sweet California heat, including New Orleans bounce artist, Big Freedia.

The NOLA native stopped to chop it up with EBONY on the red carpet where she shared her joy over being one member of the LBGT community to “break barriers”’ for others, saying, “I’m here to represent the LGBTQ community and to inspire other artists to do what they want, live their dreams and do whatever their passion is.”
