Alfama is minutes away from Terreiro do Paço, Lisbon main square. Get there on foot, walking up the hill or by taking a yellow tram. Many buses available.

Explore the magical labyrinth of streets, the little tascas (cafés), the corners, the tiny plazas, the wonderful viewpoints. The Castle of São Jorge, the National Pantheon and Saint Anthony’s Church are three Lisbon landmarks located in and near Alfama.
