Winter creates great opportunity of creating DRAMATIC IMAGES with the concept of MINIMALIST PHOTOGRAPHY.
In simple words, positive space is the actual subject. This is the area in the photo that attracts the viewer’s eye. It’s the main subject that hooks, intrigues in the composition. This is where the eye goes first.

Negative space is everything else - the area surrounding the subject and typically that would be the background. It is used to define or contour the positive space. Negative space is referred to as white space or minimalism photography
