IN AN AREA OF MEXICO SO REMOTE THAT THE MILITARY USES HELICOPTERS TO GET THERE--SOLDIERS DISCOVERED A MASSIVE CAMP THAT OFFICIALS SAY WAS USED TO MANUFACTURE DRUGS.
THE MEXICAN MILITARY GAVE REPORTERS A TOUR OF THE COMPOUND MONDAY--THREE DAYS AFTER SOLDIERS RAIDED IT.
THE COMPOUND CONSISTS OF 22 BUILDINGS SPREAD OVER NEARLY 600 ACRES.
OFFICIALS SAY THEY THE COMPOUND WAS CAPABLE OF PRODUCING A VARIETY OF TYPES OF DRUGS. METHAMPHETAMINE AND MARIJUANA WERE THE MOST-PRODUCED.
THE DEFENSE DEPARTMENT SAYS SOLDIERS FOUND SEVERAL THOUSAND KILOS OF MARIJUANA. THERE WERE STORAGE CONTAINERS FOR NEARLY NEARLY NINE-THOUSAND GALLONS OF CHEMICALS.
THE COMPOUND ALSO INCLUDES LIVING FACILITIES, COMPLETE WITH KITCHENS. THE CHIEF OF THE COMPOUND EVEN HAD A LUXURY CABIN.
LOCAL NEWS REPORTS SAY THEY IS THE LARGEST COMPOUND OF IT'S TYPE EVER FOUND.
