Metal Thickness Gauge and why you need one! I consider this a must have shop tool. It's a great tool to have in the workshop, on the job site or even while your shopping your local metal yard. Take the guesswork out of the material thickness you are working with. Knowing the correct material thickness will help you set up your welding machine. Even though I didn't mention it in the video, the smaller notches on the end of the tool can also be used to determine common MIG wire sizes.
