India’s farm laws: Rahul Gandhi rides tractor to parliament in protest.
Indian National Congress leader Rahul Gandhi rode a tractor to the parliament today -- protesting the three contentious farm laws.
Rahul was accompanied by Congress lawmakers from Punjab and Haryana, reports our New Delhi correspondent.
Talking to reporters outside parliament, Rahul said, "I have brought farmers' message to Parliament. They (Govt) are suppressing voices of farmers and not letting a discussion take place in Parliament. They'll have to repeal these black laws. The entire country knows these laws favour 2-3 big businessmen."
The other Congress MPs held placards reading "Repeal Farm Laws" and "Repeal anti-farmer black laws" as the tractor carrying Rahul made its way into parliament premises.
A few days ago, Trinamool Congress lawmakers rode bicycles into parliament complex protesting rising prices of petrol and diesel.
