This video features a KSF C151B, 617/618, which is from BSD to serve NSL for the AM Rush Hours, from NS24 Dhoby Ghaut to NS25 City Hall. This was the scene at NS24 Dhoby Ghaut Southbound, right after 713/714 left Dhoby Ghaut Southbound.
You would have seen that 617/618 needed to arrive Dhoby Ghaut Southbound in ATPM (Auto Train Protection Mode), and surprisingly not in RM (Restricted Manual) Mode. SMRT staffs were seen at the station reminding commuters to stand behind as all of the doors were open, which poses a danger to anyone who could just blindly walk onto the tracks without realizing. All of this was due to a Platform Screen Door Fault. In this video, you would see 617/618 arriving and departing Dhoby Ghaut not just in ATPM, but also with all of the PSD open. A very rare sight to see and not the first time that Dhoby Ghaut PSD has gotten a fault. As a result, announcements were also made (not in this video) that commuters would need to cater for additional 5 minutes travel time between Newton and Marina South Pier (particularly between Somerset and City Hall Southbound).
The Northbound Platform at Dhoby Ghaut were unfazed, and continued operations as per normal. It was only the Southbound side that was facing issues.
