New Jersey drivers rushed to gas stations Monday, the last day before the state's 23-cent-per-gallon tax hike goes into effect.
State lawmakers passed the tax in an effort to fund roads projects in the state. New Jersey's gas tax will now rank as the seventh highest in the nation.
Some truck drivers told Chasing News that the gas tax could put them out of business.
