Division One league leaders Middlesex had a tough opening day at Edgbaston as their hosts, Warwickshire, dismissed them for 242 in their first innings on a used wicket that was already offering plenty for the bowlers on the opening day of this four day Specsavers County Championship clash. Dawid Malan's half century and Stephen Eskinazi's 49 were the highlights in the Middlesex innings, who will resume on day two with the ball in hand and looking to knock their hosts over cheaply.
