It may disappoint you to learn that this is in fact not the case. These stamps can easily and quickly be removed from the envelope and when removed they still retain the self-adhesive quality. If you would like proof of this please see the video which I made and uploaded for you.
I use it on stamps for collecting purposes. It works reliably on stamps from the USA, Spain, Republic of Ireland and many other countries. I realise that every good thing can be abused if it gets into the wrong hands. Therefore, I do not want to publish my discovery yet, even though I know it can help millions of legitimate stamp collectors throughout the world. If you watch it, you can clearly see that it is possible, in seconds, using certain chemicals which are for sale on the open market in the Czech Republic, to remove the stamp. This chemical is not SVHC (Substance of Very High Concern) and its sale is approved for the entire European Union. The price is entirely reasonable at 650 Czech crowns (£20-£25) per litre.
