Ingredients:
- Frozen ripe mango chunks
- Milk (Can be substituted with water, then you are making mango juice)
We buy mango by the case. When the mango ripens, peel, cut in chunks, then freeze. The more ripe the mango, the higher the sugar content, therefore, no sugar needed.
When freezing the mango chunks in the Ziploc bag, make sure they lay flat and not touching. Otherwise, they will clump together and become a big block of ice. After it is frozen, you can move the bag.
Mango is expensive in Canada as it is an imported fruit. By freezing it, we extend the shelf life. Why pay $7 for a mango milkshake when you can make it without any artificial flavouring and colouring at home at a much cheaper price?
