One year ago the owners of The Idle Hour in Baltimore, MD were given the chance of a lifetime to go to France, see the factory where Chartreuse is made, meet the Monks who make it, tour the museum and the monastery, visit with the outgoing president and meet the new president, all while enjoying the camaraderie of fellow bartenders from around the world. The trip culminated with a picnic and a toast in the Chartreuse Mountains high above the monastery to celebrate the ten year anniversary of The Idle Hour. It was a fantastic trip. Thank you to all the folks at Chartreuse who made this trip a reality especially Jean-Marc and Philippe who are incredible hosts. Thank you.
