In partnership with Canon Australia, Lisa Wilkinson has released the never-seen-before interviews with the subjects of her Women of Influence photographic exhibition from 2016.
Asher Keddie - ‘The Compelling Performer’
One of our favourite Australian television performers, actress Asher Keddie is much more than just our ‘Nina’. The ‘Offspring’ star always carries the natural grace and poise that only an ex-ballerina can and is one of the country’s most popular and familiar faces.
An Ambassador for the World Animal Protection Organisation, Asher is inspired in her work by the truthfulness and authenticity of the great Meryl Streep, once telling the Australian Women’s Weekly that she has “a fierce need to get to the truth”.
With multiple Logie awards to her name, Asher first graced our screens at the age of 10 and has since built a critically acclaimed body of work, including portraying publishing doyenne Ita Buttrose in ‘Paper Giants: The Birth of Cleo’ and award-winning performances in ‘Underbelly: A Tale of Two Cities’ and ‘Love My Way’.
