This purely informational amateur video was made with my phone. Keep your expectations pretty low. I decided to do the video for those who are not mechanics but like to do DIY repairs.
I showed specific steps on the removal of driver's side interior door panel, wiring, and power window regulator / motor, including tools you will need. I had to do the video AFTER doing the actual removal, but you should have no problem replicating the process - especially if you have your Volt's door right in front of you to help you with orientation. I was NOT able to find my actual installation video as I talked about in this video - I'm so sorry!
I also apologize - I did not edit the video and I think I went on one stupid unrelated tangent. Please feel free to FFwd or enjoy my dumb story.
Note: I am NOT a mechanic nor a professional videographer. However, I am fairly mechanically inclined and did a lot of research before doing this repair.
My DIY Resume of Repairs on my 2011 Volt that I have done successfully: 1) Upgraded/replaced my headlights, 2) Replaced the MAF wiring harness, 3) Replaced the heater coolant valve, 4) Replaced driver's side window regulator (this video), 5) Changed oil and filter, 6) Tire repair with plug 7) Reset TPMS on all wheels 8) Replace 12V battery, and other miscellaneous maintenance.
