Tens of thousands of Russians have rallied near the Kremlin, disavowing the protests at Kiev’s Independence Square, or Maidan a year ago. Police said that up to 40,000 people turned out on the streets in Moscow on Saturday. And another about 1,000 Russians attended a similar rally in the city of Saint Petersburg.
