As government works out the modalities for the setting up of a Commission of Inquiry (COI) into the March 02, 2020 elections, it is also looking to draft amendments to strengthen the country’s existing electoral laws. Once those amendments are passed, Vice-President, Dr Bharrat Jagdeo says the country’s electoral body must also rid itself of corrupt officials to allow for free and fair elections.
