Superior Engineering make their own range of Pressurised Nitro Gas Shock Absorbers.
Why Nitrogen?
Well it stops and controls cavitation.
When your shock absorber is working really hard in an offroad situation, the oil gets so hot that it starts to cavitate.
So we put pressurised nitrogen on top of the oil and that controls it.
What else do these shock absorbers got?
It's got a 20mm highly polished chrome shaft, inside the shock absorber we have a high quality valve stack and piston.
The piston has got a Teflon ring on it, and that's going to give the piston a really nice smooth operation and long life.
The valve stack is designed so that it can adjust to different four wheel drive situations, whether it be high speed corrugations or low speed undulations.
We have also got a protective boot over here which protects the shaft from dings, dust, dirt, grime and all that nasty stuff.
On the bottom and top ends we have got rubber bushes.
