September 19, 2012. Shanghai, China. The dream of having more than two passenger elevators travelling in one lift shaft has been around for 50 years or more. This presentation discusses "Skytrak," a proposal for a radically new form of vertical transportation. "Skytrak" is able to dispense with traditional suspension ropes and counterweights and, in the process, offers architects a completely new degree of freedom for transporting people around and between buildings.
