In this video I'll show you the difference between using an ultra violet bulb in a UV filter system compared to no UV light with regards to burning off the string or filamentous algae that you will have growing in your pond.

I'm always amazed by what a difference the UV filter makes.

The system I use is called the Tetra Pond UV3 filter system, made obviously by Tetra Pond.
