The optoelectronic sensor detects the profile of an object in just a few steps using a laser line scan. A matching value between the reference and target object is given from 0-100%. In this way, the sensor detects whether components, assembly processes, milling sands or holes deviate from the reference target and this already at difference of just 0.5 millimeters. But see for yourself: At our #Applicationoftheweek, colleagues from all over the world will be showing exciting PMD profiler applications from the automotive, food, pharmaceutical or plastics industries, as well as robotics, assembly and handling or electrical engineering.
This week Magnus Gestholm, the product manager from Sweden, shows us how the PMD Profiler securely detects the correct milling of holes – in a flexible working range of 150 to 300 mm.
