South Korea's Acting President Pays Respect to Passengers Killed in Plane Crashed
The tragic crash of a Jeju Air Boeing 737-800 at Muan International Airport, which killed 179 people, remains one of South Korea’s deadliest air disasters. The aircraft, carrying 175 passengers and six crew members, tragically belly-landed and skidded off the runway before bursting into flames. Investigators are looking into possible causes of the crash, including bird strikes, adverse weather conditions, and the speed at which the aircraft was traveling. Initial findings show that the plane’s landing gear may not have been deployed before the crash.
