We all want a home cooked meal from time to time. For me, a home cooked meal includes traditional Soul Food dishes. EllaEm's in North Las Vegas offers all of the Soul Food staples!
The term Soul Food came about in the early 1960s during the Black Power movement. Soul was used to describe music as well as food within the African-American culture, which is my personal heritage. If one closely listens to Mama Ruth, she reflects on her family's culinary history. Her history is American History. Shout-out to Mama Ruth. It was a real pleasure & treat talking with her:)
