How To Make Custom Photo Coasters | Sublimation Printing Tutorial

There are tons of different ways to decorate coasters using equipment and supplies from ColDesi, but in this video we are going to talk about one of our favorites.

Sublimation is easy to do and really affordable to get started. This three two step customization process is a long time favorite by many small business owners.

First, you print out digital designs on a special piece of sublimation paper, using a sublimation printer like the Sawgrass SG500 or SG1000.

Second, you adhere the transfer to the polyester coated substrate and heat press it. When time is up you remove the transfer and that's it!

When making shirts with sublimation you want to make sure they are 100% polyester and a white or light color.
But, if you are sublimating hard surface goods, they need to be specific polyester coasted sublimation blanks.

UV Printing is awesome because you can print directly on tons of different materials, but it is expensive to get started.

Heat Transfer Vinyl is another fun and easy way to make custom coasters, but you are limited to vector art and it can be really tedious to make multicolor designs!
