Equipped with precision ground bedway, the headstock and tailstock are heavy section cast iron with positive cam action locking devices. The heavy duty cast iron headstock is designed to travel up and down the entire length of the bed of the lathe, which allows the turning of very large diameter work at the tailstock end of the lathe. The safety spindle lock makes it easy to remove faceplates and chucks, and built in indexing, offers 36 positions (10°) on the spindle.
