Having oxalate dumping Carnivore diet issues? Many people believe that going on a low oxalate diet creates issues whereby the body “dumps” oxalates stored in their tissues. It’s important to point out that we have no idea if this really happens, it’s simply a guess based on no information whatsoever. No research supports this, and no one gets their serum oxalate issues tested to confirm it’s happening.
Interestingly, there’s another potential reason why people have issues with oxalates on a Carnivore diet. A poorly formulated keto diet can do the same thing. As it turns out, the lack of a few important nutrients may be driving this issue. Specifically, a lack of calcium and a lack of dietary fiber fermentation in the gut.
Furthermore the problem isn’t dumping per se. In fact, it may be enhanced recycling due to poor removal of oxalate. Unfortunately, the way this works would route more oxalate through your kidneys and increase your risk for kidney stones.
The good news is this is something you can remedy provided you’re willing to dump the dogma and follow the data. Check out today’s short to learn more about why the carnivore diet may not be the best option if you believe you have oxalate issues.
