In fact, he was the lone survivor of that unfortunate crash that took place last week in Coonoor, Tamil Nadu. The Indian Air Force (IAF) has issued a statement that was tweeted on this particular issue. They have expressed their grief and sadness over this tragic development that the group captain has passed away. In fact, the IAF has said that "IAF is deeply saddened to inform the passing away of braveheart Group Captain Varun Singh, who succumbed this morning to injuries sustained in the helicopter accident that took place on 8th December 2021.
