Finally assembled and printed out a simple object in the form of a 40mm fan guard. The guard over the extruder fan is needed as you often have to move the extruder nozzle across the hot bed to level it.
Some parts of this kit are pre-assembled making this project easier.
The documentation that came with the printer is hard to follow. I have to look up the Geeetech 2560 control board photo to make the proper wiring connections. The extruder bracket is difficult to mount to the x axis plastic bracket. Remember to set the voltage to 110v AC if you are in the US. I have some issues leveling the hot bed. Some of my prints job curl up at the corners. These must be common issues faced by new users.
It is a bargain at $154 (CTC brand) but I later saw a different model for $20 more with auto leveling. I'd get the auto level given a choice. It took me about 5 hours, on and off, to put this together and make it work.
