Walk with me in Ribeira d`Ilhas beach during the World Surf League championship (MEO Vissla PRO Ericeira). The atmosphere of any sports event is very unique and surfing is no different. Enjoy the views from the viewpoint, the beach walk among surfers and the public, and even a small cliff walk!
Ericeira is a traditional fishing village that has developed enormously during the 20th century due to the growing interest in it as a summer resort. However, it has maintained its original characteristics and its own individual atmosphere. Located just 50 km from Lisbon, Ericeira is one of the few places on the planet designated as a World Surfing Reserve by the Save The Waves Coalition. Here surfers can find outstanding waves all year long.
