The Income Tax department has seized over Rs 200 crore in raids at about 25 locations in multiple states linked to Baldeo Sahu and Group of Companies Ltd. The firm, reportedly associated with Congress MP Dhiraj Sahu, is reportedly involved in liquor manufacturing. The total seized amount is expected to rise as the counting process continues, according to I-T department sources. Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted the raids, sharing a newspaper clipping depicting a substantial amount of currency allegedly recovered.
