The Volvo V90 estate is the upmarket replacement for the old Volvo V70 and reasserts Volvo’s claim to be the go-to manufacturer if you’re after a load-lugging estate car. With the V90, Volvo has a genuine rival to the likes of the BMW 5 Series Touring and Audi A6 Avant, with a beautifully-finished interior, superb practicality and a range of efficient engines. While the BMW and the Audi might be the top choices if you’re after a sporty drive, the Volvo is superb if you want something comfortable and understated.
