The International Biochar Initiative proposes that we bake organic waste (from food production, gardening, even sewage) to convert it into a toxic-free, multi-purpose material known as biochar. The process ultimately has a positive effect on the planet, which is why Project Drawdown rated biochar as one of the top 100 ideas that can reverse the effects of climate change.
In this session we were joined by Kathleen Draper, a Board member of the International Biochar Initiative who has hosted regular webinars and tours to showcase world class examples of industrial scale biochar production facilities and markets.
