ABOUT-
Ahiritola is a major Ghat in Kolkata and has been serving as a busy ferry terminal for past many years. It's a quicker way of travelling across the Hooghli river as the heavy traffic jams on the either entrances of Howrah Bridge is a big trouble for daily commuters and visitors. Ferry service from Ahiritola Ghat connects it to Howrah and Salkia, available every 15 minutes. Ferries in Kolkata are the city's lifline, for the city will come to a standstill without the ghats and the ferries.
