Two new procedures have been added to Version 17 to generate acceptance sampling plans for variable data. They implement the MIL-STD 1916 and MIL-STD 414/ANSI Z1.9 standards. Given a lot size and other information, the procedures determine the number of items in a lot or batch that should be measured and rules for accepting or rejecting the lot. The procedures also analyze the measurements once they have been collected and indicate whether the lot should be accepted or rejected.
