Les Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer- Van Gogh by Andrey Zakirzyanov.
Early in 1888, Vincent van Gogh traveled to the fishing village of Les Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer. Having never seen the Mediterranean Sea before, he journeyed for hours in a coach to reach this coastal paradise. The result? Nine drawings and three paintings in and around the village.
This animation, titled “Seascape near Les Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer” (1888), is a mesmerizing interpretation by Andrey Zakirzyanov. The vibrant blues, greens, and yellows capture the ever-changing hues of the Mediterranean. Van Gogh’s bold strokes and use of a palette knife bring the waves to life, while the bright red signature stands out against the sea.
Thank you for using Vincent’s work to inspire your creativity! 🎨 #vangoghinspires
