Puring Park in South Jakarta has been revamped and now houses Jakarta’s first parkour park. Walls and bars were installed that parkour enthusiasts can use as obstacles or footholds before quickly jumping to another spot. The Jakarta Parkour Community, which was founded in 2007, took part in urging the Jakarta administration to develop a parkour park in Puring Park.
The Jakarta Post spoke with Muhammad Taufan Sudewa from the Jakarta Parkour Community about the new park and he and his fellow traceur’s efforts for the city to have its first parkour park.
