Two westbound trains are seen racing into Agency, Iowa on June 30, 2019. The first one to come by is the left-hand running "California Zephyr." While approaching, the engineer of plays "Shave and a Haircut" on the horn and gives a wave from inside the cab. Amtrak #5 also happens to have the "Edward L. Ullman" as its third sleeping car.
Then the BNSF mixed freight train comes through. It's not going as fast as it could be, but it doesn't have be going fast since it will be stopping short of Ottumwa for Amtrak to stop at the station there. This train's second unit is a rare sight. It's an engine from Kansas City Southern de México that's still in the old gray paint of Transportación Ferroviaria Mexicana (TFM). In addition to that, the fourth unit is a repainted SD75M and the fifth one is a Geep. There's also some former Chicago & North Western covered hoppers in the train with the "Employee Owned" logo.
The "Zephyr" will be filmed later in Fort Morgan, Colorado by YouTube user @MikeJensen-jt9yr: [ Ссылка ].
